How I Made My GoPro Scorpion Mount

Here's a step-by-step instruction on how I made the scorpion mount for my GoPro camera.

Materials

Small back pack w/waist strap

Foam mat

Monopod

2 cable ties

GoPro camera

GoPro handlebar seatpost mount

Attach the GoPro handlebar seatpost mount to the bottom end of the monopod. The monopod was a bit small for the mount so I placed some rubber strips in between the monopod and the mount.

Cut up the foam mat so that it can fit inside the back pack when rolled up.

Roll up the mat as shown and attach the monopod into the mat as shown with cable ties. The cable tie should hold the mat in a rolled up state.

Put the mat into the back pack and mount the GoPro on the handlebar mount as shown.

Zip up the backpack, extend the monopod, and voila!
