So me and G took a little trip to Sydney with a few friends (now that I think back it should've just been the two of us) and met up with some of the Sydney crew from ASRA and they skated Pie in The Sky. This road is heaven for us dh newbies. There were barely any cars from both directions and the road was relatively smooth (they were repaving it when we were there so I can only imagine how awesome it is now). The guys there were cool as and were great in helping us out. Maximum speed we probably picked up was 50-55kmh but the guys were at least hitting 65.

Now all we need is to find a hill like this in Melbourne!

Cone Head Cup Round 3 Melbourne

Conehead cup round 3, what can i say? it was an amazing day of racing. The highlights? Jonny (the Giant killer) Mcgrath taking on everyone that came his way, Imi skating beyond her years and grabbing the trophy for 'Best Performer', Bernie Griffiths taking out the blood stained cone for coming un-stuck and falling off the side of the launch ramp. Was it the amazing final? Jacko vs Daddow, Daddow just getting over the line after Jacko DQ'ed on the final few cones.
The event was a great display that the sport is heading the right way with alot of tallented racers and a few younger guys coming down and doing their thing.
